Gujarat: 7 people, including former BJP MPs, life imprisonment for murder in RTI activist Amit Jethwa Murder

In the murder of RTI activist Amit Jethwa, seven convicts were sentenced to life imprisonment by a special CBI court. Jitva was shot dead on 20th July 2010 outside the Gujarat High Court.

In the murder of RTI activist Amit Jethwa of Gujarat, a special CBI court has sentenced former BJP MP Dinu Solanki and 6 others to life imprisonment. Jitva was shot dead on 20th July 2010 outside the Gujarat High Court. Earlier, the CBI court convicted Dinu Solanki and 6 others.

It has taken 10 years for a case, it is time to take the responsibility of giving to us, how many lakhs of cases are going on in such courts, will not everyone get justice?

Because of which he was murdered outside the Gujarat High Court. Special Judge of CBI M. Dave convicted in this case. After giving the clean chit to Solanki by the crime branch, the Gujarat High Court handed over the investigation to the central agency.

Five other accused in the case are Shailesh Pandya, Bahadur Singh Waddar, Pankhenji Desai, Sanjay Chauhan and Udayji Thakore.

Tried to uncover illegal mining activities
Advocate Jethwa had tried to expose the illegal mining activities of Dinnu Solanki allegedly involved in the RTI application. Jethwa filed a PIL in 2010 in the High Court against illegal mining activities in the Asiatic Lions resident Gir Forest area. Dinnu Solanki and Shiv Solanki were made defendants in the PIL

Jethwa had presented several documents to highlight his involvement in illegal mining. After the father of the deceased Bhikhabhai Jethwa approached the High Court, the court ordered a fresh investigation into the matter. He had told the High Court that nearly 105 witnesses were quashed due to pressure from the accused and misbehavior
